1. Sponsor

The sponsor of this giveaway is the Mayor La Costa 2026 Committee, PO Box 12424, Lahaina, HI 96761.

This giveaway is sponsored solely by the Mayor La Costa 2026 Committee. Costco is not a sponsor of, affiliated with, or responsible for this giveaway.

2. Eligibility

The giveaway is open to individuals who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry, a Maui County resident and who provide the information needed to verify eligibility and contact the winner.

Officers, employees, paid staff, vendors, and immediate family members of the Mayor La Costa 2026 Committee may be deemed ineligible at the discretion of the sponsor.

The giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Entry Period

The giveaway entry period begins when the giveaway page is published and ends on June 15, 2026, unless extended, modified, or cancelled by the sponsor.

Mailed entries must be submitted before the entry deadline. Mailed entries must be received by the sponsor no later than two calendar days before the entry deadline to allow time for processing.

For this giveaway, mailed entries must be received no later than June 13, 2026.

4. How to Enter Online

To enter online, complete the giveaway form on the campaign website by providing your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and zip code.

A valid email address and phone number are required to verify eligibility, confirm an entry, and notify the winner.

By entering online, you may also choose to receive P. Denise La Costa’s Cost Cutter Plan and campaign email updates. You may unsubscribe from campaign emails at any time.

Text-message consent is optional and is not required to enter or win.

5. Alternate Method of Entry

To enter without joining the email list, without using the online form, and without agreeing to receive campaign text messages, mail a written entry with the following information:

• Last name
• Phone number
• Email address, if available
• Zip code
• A statement that you are 21 years of age or older

The sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, delayed, damaged, incomplete, illegible, postage-due, or undeliverable mail.

6. Entry Limits

Limit one entry per person, regardless of method of entry.

Duplicate entries, automated entries, incomplete entries, or entries submitted using false or misleading information may be disqualified at the discretion of the sponsor.

7. Prize

One winner will receive one Costco gift card with an approximate retail value of $250.

The prize is not transferable. No cash substitution will be provided unless the sponsor determines, in its discretion, that a substitution is necessary. The sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

The winner is responsible for any taxes, fees, or costs associated with accepting or using the prize.

8. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

9. Winner Selection

The winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received by the deadline.

The drawing is currently scheduled for June 15, 2026. The sponsor may adjust the drawing time if needed for administration, verification, or processing.

10. Winner Notification and Verification

The potential winner will be contacted using the email address and/or phone number provided at entry.

The potential winner may be required to confirm eligibility, identity, and contact information before the prize is awarded.

If the potential winner cannot be reached, does not respond within a reasonable time, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to complete required verification, the sponsor may select an alternate winner by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.

11. No Political Condition

No purchase, contribution, vote, voter registration, political support, email-list signup, or text-message consent is required to enter or win.

This giveaway is not offered as an inducement or reward for voting, registering to vote, encouraging others to vote or register, making a contribution, volunteering, endorsing, or supporting any candidate.

Entering the giveaway does not require the entrant to vote for, support, contribute to, or take any political action for or against any candidate or ballot measure.

12. Communications Consent

Online entrants may agree to receive campaign email updates from P. Denise La Costa for Mayor 2026. Entrants may unsubscribe from campaign emails at any time.

Text-message consent is optional. Agreeing to receive text messages is not required to enter or win. If an entrant opts in to text messages, message and data rates may apply, and the entrant may reply STOP to opt out.

13. Publicity

By accepting the prize, the winner may be asked to allow the sponsor to use the winner’s first name, city or area, photo, and/or likeness for campaign or promotional purposes. Any such use will be subject to any additional consent required by law.

14. Privacy

Information submitted in connection with the giveaway may be used to administer the giveaway, verify eligibility, contact the winner, maintain campaign records, and, where consent is provided, send campaign communications.

The sponsor will not sell entrant information to advertisers.

15. General Conditions

The sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the giveaway if fraud, technical problems, administrative issues, legal concerns, or other circumstances affect the integrity or operation of the giveaway.

The sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits false information, violates these rules, or acts in a disruptive or abusive manner.

16. Release

By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the sponsor, its officers, volunteers, agents, vendors, and representatives from claims arising out of participation in the giveaway or acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of the prize, except where prohibited by law.
